Joel Ryba
CEO

Joel Ryba began his career as a software entrepreneur in the late 1980s designing, coding, and selling video games while still an undergraduate. Since then he has launched multiple technology companies and held a series of executive leadership positions, most recently as COO of HIXNY.

Earlier he served as Director of BI and Data Sharing for the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, where he led his team on projects that increased information sharing between local, state, and federal agencies and in the application of analytics for investigation and case management purposes. His IT management career also spans several industries including manufacturing, healthcare analytics, and financial services.

Dr. Prahalad Rangan
Director of Exchange Development

Dr. Prahalad Rangan started as the very first developer with Hixny Operations, the predecessor to XchangeWorx. As such, he individually contributed to the development and enhancement of many Information Exchange Services. Later, as Architect and Manager of Software Development, he led the design and development of statewide and local exchange services on behalf of XchangeWorx for multiple clients. In his latest role as Director of Exchange Development, he is responsible for the innovation of new HIE 2.0 services from the exchange perspective.

Prahalad has a doctoral degree in Information Science from the University at Albany, an MS degree in Manufacturing Management from University of Toledo, OH and a BE in Chemical Engineering from BITS, Pilani, India.

Juan de la Rosa
Director of Analytics Development

Juan has been with XchangeWorx since its inception and manages the team that develops analytic products and enterprise reporting services. He began his healthcare IT career 18 years ago at a health information management division of a local regional Pharmacy Benefits Manager company, and worked for 6 years developing analytic solutions for a major national pharmacy benefits manager company.

Juan has a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany.
