XchangeWorx, Inc. (Albany, NY) seeks Senior Software Engineer to be a key contributor to the successful development and implementation of enterprise data warehouse and related reporting initiatives. This individual is also responsible for the evaluation, analysis and validation of data in the various Health Information Exchange environments, including, but not limited to, operating data repositories and enterprise data warehouses used for analysis and reporting. The Senior Software Engineer will work on cross-functional team projects, as well as individual projects. Primary Responsibilities: Work as part of a cross-functional team to understand business needs, develop and refine requirements, and design and develop business intelligence reports and supporting ETL processes to meet business objectives; Provide accurate estimates for development work; Follow disciplined, professional software engineering and project management processes to ensure successful deliveries; Analyze, modify, and maintain moderately complex processes and code; Code, document, deploy, and maintain ETL, reporting, data mining applications and end-user tools; Document processes in Use Cases and connect processes into systems using Use Case UML Diagrams; Support QA of content in the Health Information Exchange data repositories; identify cause of, and resolutions for, data quality gaps and anomalies that may exist in these environments; Provide mentoring and guidance to junior Software Engineers to support individual development initiatives; Actively research and provide input related to the improvement of software system operating efficiencies and accuracy.
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related with 1 year of related experience including Object-Oriented programming techniques, database management systems development, Cache ObjectScript, Java, PHP, Python, SQL, C#, SSIS, PowerBI, ERWin, XMLSpy, HL7, XML, XSLT, WSDL, SAML, and XACML, and project management experience. XchangeWorx, Inc. (Albany, NY) seeks Software Team Leader an individual contributor with the added responsibility of supervising a product-focused software development team. The Software Team Leader manages all development related aspects of a product, including working with business owners to define the overall product requirements, creating a work-breakdown-structure (WBS,) creating agile user stories, managing the agile scrum process, supervising and mentoring other team members, and delivering tested software on-time and on-budget. The Software Team Leader is also responsible for supervising the work of student interns, who will be engaged in various research projects of interest to the business. The Software Team Leader also actively participates in software development.
Primary Responsibilities: Work as part of a cross-functional team to understand business needs, develop and refine requirements and design and develop software to meet business objectives; Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery; Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship; Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team; Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits; Assist in the collection and documentation of requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans; Provide accurate estimates for software development work; Follow disciplined, professional software engineering and project management processes to deliver solutions on-time and on-budget; Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software; Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards; Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code; Package and support deployment of releases; Analyze and resolve technical and application problems; Research and evaluate a variety of software tools and platforms; Supervise and mentor student interns.
